Thank you for your interest in Intentional 2020 and the work we are doing in Ecuador to further Christ’s Kingdom!
From Pastor Billy:
“Our Intentional 2020 Ministry was born from a call by the Lord to be able to go out and do the great commission and, through our lives, be light to the nations - sharing the good news of Jesus.
All this started in the month of February 2020, just when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the entire world and nobody was able to get out from their homes. There were no vaccines. But even in the midst of the Pandemic, the Lord called us to rise up and start to share the Gospel - using this time of darkness and fear to bring light and hope to all who can accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, recognizing Him as Lord and Savior in their lives.
Above all we needed to walk by faith trusting in Him and His calling to build a new ministry for Him, and that He will protect us from all evil and disease. And He did! It is amazing to witness how His promises were fulfilled by Him all along the way and He still is doing it, just like it says in Matthew 28:19-20 - That He will be with us until the end of the world if we were obedient in making disciples of all nations.
During the last 6 years we have been able to witness more than 1,000 souls come to the feet of Jesus and become new believers, accepting the gift of salvation. We understand that our trust is placed in our Lord Jesus Christ, that we are his instruments of blessing, and that we can be used by our Father if we open our hearts to the call and service that our Father has placed on us.
We are focusing our help in this new stage to the indigenous communities located in the Highlands of Ecuador, at 15,000 feet altitude, just below the highest volcano and tallest mountain of the world (if measured from the center of the world) - the CHIMBORAZO mountain. We are also active in the area of the Amazon jungle in Ecuador, were we work with several communities, evangelizing, providing health assistance, Bible Studies, and VBS, supporting churches, providing food for those in need, building water systems, houses and schools. But most importantly, building up spiritual lives through God’s word. Between the highlands and the jungle we are currently seeking to bring the Gospel and physical help and support to more than 12 communities, and workers are needed to keep the work of the Lord going! (Matthew 9:37)
We encourage you as you read this story to pray to the Lord, and take an step of faith to join us in mission with your family, your group of friends, or your church. Partner with our Ministry, Intentional 2020, here in Ecuador! We are sure that the fact you are right now reading this is not a coincidence and that the Lord is behind everything, seeking to draw us closer to Him with strings of love.
Please contact us or our partner in mission, Time2serve, or, if you are able to support our mission through donations, all help is welcome and needed. I humbly challenge and encourage you to start this new journey in the Lord with us. God bless you!!
With love in Christ,

Intentional 2020
Ecuador
Intentional 2020 serves communities in the Highlands of the Andes Mountain Range, the Amazon Jungle and the Ecuadorian Coastline. While their first focus is always in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they also focus on the needs of the communities they serve.
The June, 2026 trip will focus on doing Vacation bible Study for kids and doing community construction projects in 4 different communities in the Highlands surrounding Mount Chimborazo. We will also look for formal and informal opportunities to do teaching and evangelism with the adults and youth.
Please, help us bring the love of Jesus Christ to folks in these remote regions of Ecuador! Far from any grocery store or even a bus stop, these small communities rely on agriculture and raising milks cows and sheep, often pooling milk into community cheese ‘factories’.
The adults have varying levels of understanding of who Jesus is and the importance of having faith in Him. The children are learning - principally through the work of Intentinoal 2020 and local pastors and lay people, each of whom shepherds 2-3 communities. The mission team will attend church with the Loma Gorda community in our first day in country and we will use every opportunity to share God’s love, through our work, our words and our prayers!
